Hey there, fur-iends! This is Treasure and Trufla, two pawsitively adventurous pups who got to sniff our way across Europe. We’ve traveled far and wide—from the lush Swiss alps to the charming streets of Poland and Germany! And let us tell you, being jet-setting doggos is the ultimate way to experience life. Here’s a peek at our adventures and all the tricks that made our journeys pawsome!
Sniffing Out New Beginnings
First thing’s first, we had to get cozy with our travel bags. Our hooman made sure we saw the bag as our safe zone. It became our little bed, our happy place, and our “paw-sonal” space on all those buses, trains, and flights. We’d nap, peek out at the views, or just chill inside while the world whizzed by. By the time we were boarding Swiss Airlines or Lufthansa, it was like slipping into our little cozy zone right under the airplane seat. Our hooman even snuck us onto her lap a few times when the nice stewardesses looked the other way. 😉
All Packed Up and Ready to Go!
Traveling means packing, but luckily, our hooman remembered all the essentials for us: pee pads (super handy for moving from one hotel to another!), wet wipes, food, our favorite treats, poop bags, an anti-spill bowl, our leash, and even our favorite toy, which smells just like home. Oh, and let’s not forget the shoes for winter, which kept our paws warm and toasty. We also had to be prepared for those picky bus conductors who sometimes wanted us to wear a muzzle—better safe than sorry!
Our snacks were special too. Since we usually enjoy a raw diet back home, we had to switch to freeze-dried food for the trip. Our hooman spent a month slowly introducing it so our tummies would be ready. And she even made sure our doggy passports were up-to-date with all the shots, especially the rabies check. Just like pawrents with their hooman kids, she made sure everything was perfectly in order!
Getting There and Staying There
Flying from Singapore to Switzerland was our first big adventure. No quarantine needed as long as we had our papers ready! And from Switzerland, we were free to explore the whole EU by train, bus, and even trams! Trains became our favorite way to travel—so many new smells, and it was just one big moving bed! We loved gazing out the window, snoozing in our bags, and meeting friendly strangers.
Europe is so dog-friendly! We could go almost everywhere with our hooman, from the best outdoor cafes to gorgeous hiking trails. There were a few exceptions, like supermarkets, but they usually had a spot for us to wait outside.
Every hotel made us feel right at home. Whether it was the Westin, Movenpick, or Europeski, they all welcomed us with open paws. Sometimes we just had to pay a tiny fee, but let’s be real, those snuggly beds and warm breakfasts made it worth every penny.
Hiking in Austria and Surviving Snowstorms
Oh, Austria! One of our most pawsome adventures was climbing the Five Fingers mountain. While hiking through the snowy landscape, we got hit with a sudden snowstorm! Our hooman almost thought we’d have to turn back, but I, Treasure, stayed strong. I tugged her along, determined to reach the end. That trek tested our bravery, but we made it, showing everyone that even small paws can handle big challenges. The view at the top was worth every snowy step!
From Doggo Breakfasts to Hotel Bliss
Traveling through Europe with our hooman meant being together 24/7, and let us tell you, it was pure bliss. Imagine this: waking up in a cozy hotel bed, and then heading down for breakfast with your hooman by your side. They’d sneak us bits of egg, fruit, and whatever else they could. There’s just something magical about exploring the world and knowing you’ve got your family right there with you, sharing every single moment. It’s not something we get to do back home, and we treasured every second.
More Adventures to Come
Our next big dream? A trip back to Switzerland with both of us, maybe even for a special family photoshoot. We can already picture ourselves posing in the Swiss Alps with the mountains as our backdrop! We think every pup and their hooman should get a taste of the world beyond. Who knows? You might discover a new side of each other, or even a side of yourself you never knew was there.
So, here’s to more trips, more trails, and more treats in far-off places. Until next time, pawrents and pups – keep those tails wagging and those bags packed! Europe, we’ll be back! 🐾
